Hi, I’m Simon Davies, founder of Holy Grounding.

I was raised in the great outdoors of New Zealand.

I became obsessed with the sheer magnificence of nature - and the more raw and remote, the better - from hiking through deep snow up to a summit, running along tracks surrounded by soaring mountains, or hiking for days through the Southern Alps - from a young age, it was always my happy place (despite being freezing cold and soaking wet many times).

But it wasn't until I became a Christian at the age of 30 that the source of this stunning outdoors became apparent. It was now very difficult (actually, impossible) for me to spend time in nature and not be overcome by the immense gratitude I felt - to the point of tears - for the incredible surroundings I was immersed in.

Being acutely aware of the countless ways God provides for us, I was not surprised to later discover that the Earth itself has a complex electrical system, known as the global electrical circuit (GEC), and that this may have benefits for the electrical system within our own bodies.

This awareness of our electrical body was intensely heightened one day when I got a call from my son's sports coach to say that he had collapsed at practice and was having trouble breathing. After emergency admission to hospital, an operation was performed to correct a faulty electrical circuit connected to his heart.

I'd done a bit of biology at high school, but frankly, I wasn't aware that our heart was so reliant on electrical circuits.

Well, it turns out that our whole body is.

There has always been an integral relationship between biology and electricity going on in our body. I would later discover that behind every movement, perception, and thought, lies a complex network of electrical signalling known as bioelectricity.

So, when I came across grounding products and experienced first-hand the benefits, after a particularly quick recovery from a soft tissue injury, I became a little excited about the possibility of how another chapter in God's brilliant design could benefit us all.

So Holy Grounding was born.
